The Reno Astros swept the Sacramento Vistory this weekend and finished up the 2009 season on a 40 game win streak to finish at 58 - 12! KJ Cameron pitched a complete game Friday night as the Astros won 13 - 5. KJ struck out 10 while scattering 9 hits and 3 walks, 4 of the runs came in the last 2 innings as he finished his first complete game on a Friday night. Chris Rinaudo led the way with 3 hits, David Diegle added a couple but the old man, Matt Konopisos, kind of stole the show with 2 hits including a 2 run homer to left field to break it open. The Astros welcomed back some of their pros for the season, including Saturday's starter Dave Dinelli who pitched 5 innings and picked up the win, including 8 strikeouts. Jeff Tolotti and Tony Teixera each hit homeruns, for Tolotti it was his 22nd of the season setting an Astro record. Vince Romo and Aaron Henry each added 2 hits to lead the way offensively. In game 2 another Astro Pro, Dan Eastham, threw the first 5 innings picking up the victory and Shayne Holbrook earned the save. Tolotti led the way offensively again with 2 hits and rookie Cris Erikson had a clutch triple to drive in the go ahead run. |
